The UIC Andrew Electromagnetics Laboratory specializes in applied research in the fields of electromagnetism, wireless propagation, and antenna design. It is housed in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and led by Professor Danilo Erricolo.

The lab consists of an anechoic chamber for measurements between 2 GHz and 26.5 GHz, a two-axis antenna positioner to allow for 3D gain pattern measurement, and a Vector Network Analyzer to collect data.
